How to stop my room smelling of bread?

I accidentally left a bag of sesame bread in my locked and unventilated room for 5 days, and although the bread did not go stale, the room is now completely engulfed by it's odour. It's not an unpleasant or repellent smell, but it is a bit stifling. I've already tried leaving my windows wide open, but I think the smell has penetrated the carpet and furniture fibres, etc. because it remains there, faintly, but stubbornly as ever. I've also tried spraying a little air freshener, to no avail. What else should I do and/or buy?
